The free plan is a real plan

Ten scans a month, your full patch-test profile, AllerBot and doctor-ready PDFs, without paying anything. Plus is for when checking labels stops being an occasional thing.

A patch test tells you which ingredients to avoid. It doesn't help you in a pharmacy aisle holding a bottle with forty-odd ingredients on the back. That part is what you're paying for, and a year of Plus costs less than replacing one product that turned out to be wrong.

What people use AllerNote for

"I used to spend 20 minutes reading every label at the store. Now I just snap a photo and AllerNote tells me if it's safe. It caught Linalool in a 'fragrance-free' moisturizer I almost bought."

Marijana MijatovicEczema, fragrance allergy

"After my patch test, my dermatologist gave me a list of 12 allergens to avoid. I put them all into AllerNote and now shopping is actually manageable. The Trigger Detective feature is brilliant."

Viki RysanovaPatch-tested for 80 allergens

"I didn't even know I was allergic to MI preservatives until I started tracking reactions here. The app connected the dots across three different products. Game changer."

Questions people actually ask

Is the free plan actually free?

Yes. No card, no trial clock, no expiry. You get 10 product scans a month, your full allergen and patch-test profile, AllerBot at 5 questions a day, a shelf of 10 products, the last 30 days of Reaction Detective, and 3 doctor-ready PDFs a month. Plenty of people never need more than that, and that's fine.

So what am I paying for with Plus?

Two things, mostly. The limits come off, so you can scan whatever you want without counting. And you get the parts that only work with depth: your entire reaction history instead of the last 30 days, the multi-trigger patterns that only surface once there's enough logged, and a share link that hands your dermatologist the whole profile before your appointment.

Yearly or Lifetime?

Yearly if you're not sure yet. Lifetime pays for itself at about 3.4 years, so it's the better deal if you already know allergen-checking is a permanent part of your life, which it is for most patch-tested people. There's no wrong answer and you can move from yearly to lifetime later.

Can I get a refund?

Lifetime comes with 30 days to change your mind, refunded in full, no questions. Monthly and yearly subscriptions aren't refundable, so if you'd rather not commit, cancel any time and you'll keep Plus until the end of the term you already paid for.

What happens to my data if I downgrade?

Nothing gets deleted. Your scans, allergens, logged reactions and shelf all stay in your account. You just go back to the free limits, and everything you saved before is still there to read. You can also export it all as CSV first.

Can I switch plans later?

Yes. Free to Plus whenever you want, monthly to yearly, and either subscription to Lifetime. Downgrades take effect at the end of the period you've paid for rather than immediately.

How do payments work, and in what currency?

Prices are in US dollars for everyone. Payment goes through Dodo Payments, who act as merchant of record, convert to your local currency at checkout and handle any local tax, so what your bank charges you is the dollar amount converted at the rate on the day. Cards and debit both work. Lifetime is a single charge with no card kept on file afterwards.

What do you do with my allergy data?

Nothing beyond running AllerNote for you. It isn't sold, and it isn't shared with advertisers. Read the Privacy Policy if you want the specifics.

Is this medical advice?

No. AllerNote reads ingredient labels and matches them against the allergens you've entered. It's an educational tool, not a diagnosis, and it doesn't replace your dermatologist. Analysis is AI-assisted, so verify anything that matters against the physical label.

Do you do anything for clinics or brands?

Yes, separately from these plans. Have a look at AllerNote for dermatologists or get in touch.
